  1. What is the SCREENING serology test of choice?
  2. What is the CONFIRMATORY test of choice?

Answer

Initial screening test for suspected celiac disease is a serum immunoglobulin A (IgA) anti-tissue transglutaminase (TTG).  If positive, it is then followed up with an endoscopic duodenal biopsy.
